After a good breakfast, we packed our backpacks and went to Buckingham Palace. There we saw the guards changing places. There were many people at the palace, and it was very interesting and entertaining. After visiting Buckingham Palace, we did a Foxtrail. We had four hours for it and went all around London. The Foxtrail was both challenging and fun. We also had some free time and lunch during the activity. After the Foxtrail, we were quite tired and went to a pub, where we had a traditional British dinner. Later, we joined a Jack the Ripper tour with a rather strange and funny guide. The tour was special, and the view of the city at night was beautiful. Finally, we went back to our apartment, had some dessert, and went to bed.

Montag, 9. März

Pünktlich starten wir vom Bahnhof Frauenfeld nach Lausanne. Dort erwartet uns Aurelie Calatayud, die zusammen mit Monika Hagenmaier diese Austauschwoche organisiert hat. Aurelie versorgt alle unsere Koffer, Taschen und Jacken in ihrem Auto. Lausanne begeistert uns, strahlender Sonnenschein, wunderschöne Altstadt, freundliche Menschen- die sehr schnell Französisch sprechen – und viele Geschäfte. Wir starten zu unserer Altstadttour, Kathedrale, Rathaus, tour Ale, Place Palud. Dann geht es mit Metro und Bus zur Schule, école Bergieres. Es empfängt uns Aurelie zusammen mit den Töchtern und Söhnen der Gastfamilien. Dann begrüsst uns auch noch die Direktorin, Madame Floriane Grandjean-Luethi. Von der Schule gehen unsere Schülerinnen mit den Gespänli in die Gastfamilien.

In the morning, we met at the train station Müllheim-Wigoltingen. From there we went to the airport in Zurich. At the airport we checked-in and waited until boarding time. Then the plane finally took off. Some of our group were flying for the first time. As soon as we were in London, we had to speak English. After lunch we visited some sights. We saw the Big Ben, the London Eye, the Thames, the millennium Bridge and many more. During sightseeing some of us had their short presentation which we prepared before. Then we went to our apartment by tube. To cook dinner, we went shopping in an English grocery store named Tesco. After shopping, four of us were cooking the dinner. Then we ate and went to bed.

Montag, 9.3.26:

79 Schülerinnen und Schüler der Sekundarschule Müllheim machten sich früh morgens auf den Weg in die „alte Sektion“ in Flumserberg. Der erste Lagertag bei bestem Wetter war ein gelungener Auftakt in eine sportliche Woche. Hier die ersten unsortierten Eindrücke. Stay tuned.

On Monday, we all had to go to school. The first thing we did was make some tea for ourselves. After that, we introduced ourselves by saying our names and sharing a few things about us. Later, we looked at what we are allowed to take with us in our luggage and what we are not allowed to bring. Before lunch, we planned in groups what and where we were going to eat. In the afternoon, we continued planning the meals, and after finishing, we gave a short presentation about them. At the end of the day, we had some time to work on another presentation about sightseeing attractions in London.
